I’m not going to lie, I’ve been absolutely dreading 2019. For me, 2019 is going to be a year filled with change and uncertainty. It’s the year I graduate from uni and get my first proper job. It’s also the year I’ll move out of my university accommodation and (fingers crossed) into a place of my own.
I know many of you will be reading this thinking ‘what the hell is she taking about? That sounds so exciting!’ And yes, it is. In a way, I am extremely hopeful and excited for what this year may bring. On the other hand, I’m absolutely shit scared because I don’t have a solid plan and I don’t know what I’ll be doing or where I’ll be living by this time next year.
Of course I know what industry I’m hoping to go into and my goal is to stay in London; but a lot could change between now and then. I think the thing that scares me the is the uncertainty.
Life Goals for 2019
In three and a half months I’ll be finishing university – how scary is that!! I’m hoping to start working straight away. I’m not exactly sure what I want to go into at the moment but I know it will have something to do with PR/social media/influencer marketing.
After securing a job, my plan is to save, save, save. I would love to travel a little over the year but my primary goal is to save up enough and be secure in a job so that I’m able to rent somewhere when my university accommodation runs out in September.
Living in London is something I’ve dreamed of since I was a child. I’ve been living here for almost three years now and I’m not even close to being bored of it! Towards the end of 2019, I’m hoping to be moving into my own little flat in, or near, London.
I also want to work on my blog more. Last Summer, I was extremely motivated to blog writing posts 2-3 times a week. When uni started up again, I decided to take a break. Instead, I focused a lot on my Instagram. I found it a lot easier and a lot less stressful to maintain. This year, I’m hoping to bring the blog back with a tonne of fresh content.
So there you have it, my hopes, fears and goals for 2019. What do you hope to achieve by the end of the year?
